When you file a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy you should review the claims that are made after you have filed the case with your bankruptcy attorney.  Often "Zombie Creditors" will attempt to file false Chapter 13 claims hoping that you wont review Chapter 13 claims and they are paid by accident.   If the Chapter 13 trustee or your bankruptcy lawyer fail to review the proof of claims you may overpay. 

Review the plan, motions and proof of claims with your Chapter 13 attorney to insure you dont overpay.  The more you review the petition and schedule of claims with your Chapter 13 attorney the less you will pay and the more you will keep.

Often mortgage companies and their attorneys will also file motions to terminate the Chapter 13 stay although they have been paid.  Packed inside these Chapter 13 motions are often fees that should not be paid.
